project tantavyaa
Tantavyaa is RSB Foundation's flagship initiative to revive India's endangered handloom traditions while creating sustainable livelihoods for artisan communities. Through skill development, design innovation, enterprise support, and market linkages, the initiative strengthens traditional weaving practices while enabling artisans to build resilient livelihoods. The initiative supports the revival of nine traditional craft forms, including iconic weaving traditions such as Jamdani, Muslin, and Muga Silk from Odisha, Bengal, and Assam. By empowering artisans, particularly women, Tantavyaa preserves centuries-old craftsmanship while enhancing economic opportunities. Beyond livelihood promotion, Tantavyaa documents and celebrates India's textile heritage through collaborations with designers, cultural practitioners, and artisan collectives, ensuring these living traditions remain relevant for future generations.
