To provide a happy environment and recreation centre for senior citizens. Virdha Shanti Niketan is a home for senior citizens to enjoy their leisure time, with chat rooms and indoor games. Seniors and young people meet regularly to foster understanding and share experiences in a “home away from home.” The project promotes companionship, regular communication, and a good quality of life free from isolation and loneliness in old age.

Objective

RSB Foundation: Nourishing 2100+ Young Minds for a Stronger Jharkhand under PM Poshan

Purpose

To supplement the Government of India’s PM Poshan Shakti Nirman scheme by strengthening nutritional security and educational outcomes for school children. The purpose is to ensure children from underserved communities receive consistent, quality meals that support their health, attendance, and learning capacity.

To improve child nutrition and classroom engagement for 2100+ students across 31 schools in East Singhbhum & Gamharia, contributing to the national vision of Poshit Bharat, Shikshit Bharat — Nourished India, Educated India.

Objectives

• Nutritional Support: To ensure timely delivery of hot, hygienic, and balanced meals to 2100+ students as per PM Poshan guidelines to reduce classroom hunger and malnutrition.
• Educational Impact: To improve school enrolment, daily attendance, and retention by making the mi2d-day meal program a pull factor for children and parents.
• Health & Hygiene: To promote safe cooking practices, clean drinking water, and handwashing among students to reduce illness-related absenteeism.
